Understanding.

Understanding is one of the hardest things to do.

Understanding when to listen, when to be patient, when to act, when to just sit in silence.

When it's time to do work, when it's time to relax. When it's time to worry and when it's time to just let things happen in their own time.

I've been getting a lesson in patience the last week or so, and it hasn't always been easy. I definitely haven't mastered it by any stretch of the imagination. And sometimes I just have to know that it's not always about mastering or understanding or conquering the mountain.

Sometimes just letting things happen in their own time is the best course of action for everyone involved. Sometimes understanding that everything cannot be understood is the only thing you can do. And that's a good thing.
